In astronomy and climatology, albedo is commonly used to describe the reflective properties of planets, satellites, asteroids, sea-ice, and other surfaces. For Revelation to Rebellion, Kyle Epps brings together layered marks of pigment, minerals, and metals to form a book that highlights the enlightening and empowering role that literacy and knowledge played in Gabriel the Blacksmith’s path to rebellion against subjugation.
